About YouChoose Pets and Livestock
YouChoose was born out of an idea shared amongst a family. Fed up with the available methods of selling their dogs and livestock they decided to create something for all breeders to be able to showcase their animals and have their animals be found.
Raised on a farm and growing up breeding hundreds of different species between them over the years they know the importance of having a hub for people to come together to celebrate animals and to help new and old breeders expand and improve their breeding.
Being able to create your own page and showcase your passion is invaluable. We’re creating the greatest pet and livestock classifieds Australia’s ever seen, all linked to family tree and genetic reporting so prospective buyers can have peace of mind and a clear understanding of what they’re buying.

How can I tell if a breeder is real or a scam?
We do our best to weed out the scammers because we understand the frustration of it all. Firstly we have a verified breeder option, breeders are able to verify themselves using rapid ID. But, the more information under the breeder’s profile, the better.
Use your best judgment and seek the following information under the seller’s profile and the animal’s profile,
- Images and videos of the animal
- Video calls to view the animal if visiting in person is inconvenient
- Breeder’s individual profile
- Breeder sales history
- If available a Visual Lineage Archive (VLA)

What actions does YouChoose take to ensure the breeders are reputable?
At YouChoose, we’re all about transparency with all parties. The team behind the scenes thoroughly understands buying and selling pets and livestock and the issues that can arise with such negotiations.
The app is built to empower breeders and buyers on being reputable sellers and educated buyers.
Also, seller profiles are set to easily spot reputable breeders. For example, the Verified user.
With that being said, accounts can be shut down if a review shows unethical dealings have occurred. Parties will be provided opportunities to amend.

What does it mean to be a registered pedigree dog breeder?
Pedigree breeders are associated with purebred dog breeders. The pedigree is the official paper certifying basic details about the dog. Details include breed, microchip number, sex, colour, birthdate, breeder name, number and multi-generation family tree.
Youchoose wants to take this further by adding a visual lineage. We are developing a more evolved version of the current pedigree system. It will collect data worldwide and be ever-evolving.
To be a registered pedigree breeder simply means the breeder has registered the dog with an organisation such as Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC) to guarantee the dog’s pedigree. Federal or State governments, local councils, or the RSPCA do not issue pedigree papers.
Being able to profile our whippets and be found at a fraction of the cost and effort compared to running a website is a blessing. Permanent fixtures making it easy to list our litters time and again. Great idea, great app, awesome!
